Interested in joining a workday? Here are answers to some of the most common questions:
If weather is expected to be poor (thunderstorm, below 20 degrees) the event will be cancelled. We try to post on Facebook and this website when there is a cancellation.
The site lead will have extra hand tools available for the work day! We highly recommend you bring your favorite gardening gloves and wear long sleeves and pants to protect your skin while working.
No previous skills necessary! We are happy to teach the basics for plant ID of our most common invasive plants. We think a workday is the best way to learn. These days are relaxed and give you an opportunity to ask questions and practice your ID skills while making a dent in the invasive plants growing.
SMIPP Strike Teams
Our Strike Teams are dedicated groups of volunteers that perform regular invasive plant removals at their favorite community parks.
If you know of a public space that needs the work, we can help you form a Strike Team of your own! Help us make a dent! Contact Us
